Debbie,

does seem to be doing better. She doesn't cry when we put it on her anymore (that was a problem...taking off, putting on). She isn't sweating too badly. It depends on what she's wearing. What we're finding is that her little feet get really hot!! She hasn't worn socks or used a blankie at bed time since she got the band.

She still has that odd personality change going on...doesn't smile a whole lot with the band on, but it's getting better.

We're about 45 minutes from Oak Brook...much better than your drive. If it makes you feel any better, I have a 2-hour each way commute to work every day. :o)

I go from Orland Park to ton, which is about 42 miles one-way. Add the distance to the traffic and you have my life. I am lucky that my work allows me to do a 7-3 shift, so I get to avoid the heaviest times. I leave my house at 5:30am (I get up at 4:30) and get to work a little after 7:00am. Then in the afternoon, I leave at 3:00pm and get home at 5:00pm.

Now....Chicago blizzards??? 3 hours one way on a good day. If they ever close Lake Shore Drive, and sometimes they have to, I just stay home.

Yep Kerri, we are in Grand Rapids, which is the South Western portion

of Michigan & drove to the Oakbrook, IL clinic. It was about 190

miles one way. We actually made it there once in just 2.5 hrs which

was great, then they started construcion.ARGH! One trip actually

took us 5 long hours to get home. Our average one way drive was

around 4 hrs.. Thankfully though, we only went every 2 weeks. I'd do

it all over again though in a heartbeat for Abby's rounder head!

There are and have been a few parents from Detroit area who drive to

Chicago for the DOCband, yikes! That's a long haul.

You're very fortunate to live so close to your clinic ;) How's

doing in her band? ( right?) Sweating a lot still? It's so darn

humid still!

Holy Guacamole Kerri!

Now that would really stink - holy cow, what a drag. Is that just

becuz of that oh so annoying Chicago traffic or is it a ways away? I

get grouchy in my 15 min drive to work every day! LOL...I hate

traveling at all.

That's great to hear seems to be tolerating her band better.

Hope you see some rounding soon!
