Guest guest
, YEAH FOR RYAN!!!!!! Try to bring dh or a friend to the casting, extra hands to either hold him or to play music, sing, break out the lollipop, pacifier, whatever works! It will be over before you know it and will be in his band in no time. At 5 months, you should see some awesome improvement. started his DOC band a week shy of 5 months and ended up finishing around 8 months with great success. Good luck and happy rounding days ahead! Guest guest
YEAH! I just have to share....our insurance has come through and is paying for the Doc Band 100%! I am so thrilled! a little scared too! Our casting is scheduled for 9/12. I don't know how long he'll have to wear the band yet...our neurosurgeon said 4 months. Hopefully less! He'll just be 5 months old by the time he's fitted with his band so hopefully he get good correction..fast! Thanks for all your support! Guest guest
That is wonderful!!! I hope we are only that lucky with our insurance if has to be banded. The lady at the insurance told me if she is referred for this the doctor has to submit it in writing and they decide if it will be covered before we start therapy. We have Sagamore...has anyone dealt with them and if so do they cover this? Guest guest
I wish you the best of luck with the insurance! We were going to have him banded anyway, but it sure is nice to not have to go into debt to do it. We got our neurosurgeon's name off the Cranial Tech. website and he happened to be in our insurance network. I have a feeling that it helped. He also writes a really good letter (at least that's what Beverly at Cranial Tech says) and it seemed to have worked. ('s mom) Atlanta, GA > That is wonderful!!!
