I was also shocked that I could get in so soon. We are going to be switching peds again soon as I do not care for the one we saw after our original one left. I called yesterday when was just not acting right (she has an ear infection--first one) and they said they couldn't see her until tomorrow. That really bothered me that she is sick and they wouldn't work her in. Anyway, I am on the search for a new one. I am really glad I found his name too. He is listed on the CAPPSkids web site. I told my husband that I refuse to travel and be turned away and told it will round itself out. I want answers and I know that this doctor has deal with both tort and plagio and refers for helmets.

That's great Taryn!I'm shocked they can get you in so soon! There's usually at least a month long wait before you can get into these specialist's so that is wonderful - I guess it is 3 wks away, but every week is a big deal! The reason we are having to wait is because I made this appt. myself with no referral. Our old ped that dx has left and the new one acts like I am crazy for seeking any kind of consult on her. I am tired of waiting for everyone to decide what is best for my daughter so I took matters into my own hands. We still have yet to hear from the PT that should have started 3 weeks ago for her tort. I am flaming mad and plan on calling tomorrow to get PTs switched.

Debbie,I had no idea that the wait could be that long to get to the neurosurgeons!!! We went from ped's office visit to neurosurgeon's visit within a week and had casted a week after that!! Thanks...it is just so irritating that she was evaluated over a month ago and we have gotten no call since from the PT we had selected. She is the same one who did her evaluation and I was told by the intake coordinator that our service coordinator would call on her and get on her about it but still nothing. If she is like this now, I don't even want to think about once gets started. The intake coordinator told me to call if we hadn't heard anything and we could switch providers. Wish us luck that can get started SOON!!
