Guest guest Posted July 18, 2012 Report Share Posted July 18, 2012 I would def get the PMMA from Casavantes in TJ, I sent them a few face pictures and they sent me back an estimate of needing 12-14 ML at a cost of $130.00 per ML, to me thats well worth it since it last and you see the results right away. Ive been on the Sculptra access program and get 4 kits a yr for free and pay a plastic surgon here in FtWorth Texas $150.00 for each injection session, sounds cheep enough but figure that over 3 or 4 times a year and not being able to tell anything has been done it sure doesnt seem like I've accomplished anything at all... The sculptra never last more than a week or two anymore and if anyones thinking about PMMA that would be the way to go, up front it cost a lot but over a few years of Sculptra injections and a lot of money I dont have much to show for it so I'm def going to have the PMMA later on this fall. I have phone numbers to Dr Casavantes office and also have researched hotel rooms there in TJ Mexico if anyone would like more info on all of it.. I don't now that I've heard people were getting it done for half that price. I am so sick of Dr.s and their greed. We should probably be angry that we can't get PMMA approved here in the U.S., but then of course if they do approve it, they'll jack that price up sky high to where we can't afford it. It's always about the money isn't it? Well, I too am going to try and go with Dr.C in Mexico, apprehensively of course, because I am worried about being disfigured more so in the future than anything else. But life has been a crap shoot for me for the last 25 years of living with HIV. Might as well take the risk .. I may feel better after I did. Much obliged to all of the support .. and I know my open discussion about it can help others with these issues. So far, my butt is in good shape do to working out, so I don't have to worry about that. I too have been checking out air fair and hotels in the area .. any phone numbers too, would be great.
