I bet the FDA approval alone ads $1,000 to the price of each helmet.

My wife and I have both worked in the pharma industry..and the effort

required to get that approval is staggering. Still I'm sure it's the

pricetag of the device that is causing so many Insurance company

headaches for everyone.

We went with the locally made helmet because of several positive

stories on this board, and the advice of our doctor. The clinic is a

20 minute drive from our house, so we figured it was worth a shot.

If Zack doesn't round to our liking by 10 months, we'll pack him in a

car and drive him to a Cranial Tech in Connecticut. He started with

nicely aligned eyes and ears, so I think the local helmet will do the

trick.
