Guest guest
- Wow what a busy time! Good luck on Tuesday. If you do decide to band and don't want to wait to see yet another doctor, I would suggest printing off copies of supportive articles and fax them to this dr. He doesn't seem completely close minded. You could tell him that you weren't aware that he wasn't familiar with banding. Otherwise you wouldn't have bothered coming to see him, right? Time is of the essence. Maybe he can learn from you and you can get the prescription - and help future patients of his. did this. It isn't completely a cosmetic issue. I can tell you Dane had a several ear infections while his ears, but as soon as they were symmetrical, they have not reoccured. And so what if it was simply cosmetic? I wouldn't hesitate to get my kids braces, why wouldn't I want them to have a " normal " headshape? It is such a hard decision! Our dr. told us " He will probably be ok. " I left feeling better about it. A week later I called and told her that I didn't feel so comfortable with the " probably " and that I wanted to go ahead with the band. ly, I was also sick of repositioning him day and night! With the band, that worry wasn't as present. Good luck!
