I just called this morning and set up 's appt. with the chief pediatric neurosurgeon at The University of Chicago. It is set for Sept. 26 at 11:00 a.m. Luckily my husband has vacation time coming so he won't have to miss out on pay for work. I am so excited and can't wait to get her evaluated. I found this doctor's name off the CAPPS web site. He was listed as a doctor who refers for helmet therapy. Please keep your fingers crossed and I will keep everyone updated.

That's great Taryn!

I'm shocked they can get you in so soon! There's usually at least a

month long wait before you can get into these specialist's so that is

wonderful - I guess it is 3 wks away, but every week is a big deal!

Glad you found a specialist's name that will refer the helmet.

Debbie,

I had no idea that the wait could be that long to get to the

neurosurgeons!!! We went from ped's office visit to neurosurgeon's

visit within a week and had casted a week after that!! I

didn't realize how lucky we had been.
