Well, we had our appt today at cranial tech.

It was good and bad.

The good part was..that Charlotte said that had growth and the flat

side in the back is not as angled. So that was good. She shaved some

away..said that she shaved enough that he has plenty of growth room and so we

go back in 2 weeks.

The not so good part..(well maybe just discouraging to me) is that she had

the pictures that she took at the first visit....all the different

profiles...and she said that has ways to go. He has a flat spot in the

back right (which is where she said is looking better) and then he has a flat

spot on the left front..and that's where he needs to grow a lot...and he has

height in the back (which we knew) so she said that at the end they will

lift a little of the front so it wouldn't be so noticeable. She had told me

in the beginning when i asked how long she thought he would be in the helmet

to ask her in 4 weeks...well it's been 3 weeks and so i asked if she can tell

how long it will be...and she said no...she can't tell b/c he has ways to go

and she said it's easier to tell when there is only one flat spot..but he has

a couple...so that was pretty discouraging.

But when i asked her last time if she thinks he will need a second band...she

said she can't say for sure..but would be surprised if he would. So now i

don't know...and that would mean that he would wear it for 4 months max....if

he didn't need a second band. And when i said that Dr Hall had said probably

8 weeks...and i guess it will not be 8 weeks but would be more..she kind of

avoided that...so i don't know. But he's wearing it for 3 weeks..and she did

say he had growth like i said..in the back and also she did say he had some

growth up front too..so i guess that's good....
