Guest guest
Hello. Here are a couple clinics and names that might benefit you. If you are interested in receiving information on the MED-EL device I can be sure to get some sent to you also as you do your research. Please feel free to e-mail me privately or on the forum with any questions regarding the MED-EL device. In Oregon there is OHSU in Portland which I see has been mentioned. In Northern California there is a Dr. Maw in San , and California Ear Institute at Stanford in Palo Alto. I hope at least one of these might help you somewhat. Sincerely, McFeely Son, 5-1/2, Post-Meningitis Implanted 9-98 MED-EL BTE Tempo+ mlmcfeely@...
Guest guest
Kathy, I am dealing with menopause now and RA and do firmly believe the hormones are very connected to all this. Using natural progesterone cream and it has helped a lot. Got a book on arthritis from www.alternativemedicine.com that talks a bit about leaky gut and gives testing that can be done which I had done with Great Smokey Mountains lab (something like that). The book is neat cause it tells you where to get the certain test you can do. Good luck, Kay ----- Original Message ----- From: Kathy A Rheumatoid Arthritis Sent: Saturday, June 26, 2004 2:43 AM Subject: Dodie Hi, I am checking out the links you shared with interest. I am doing a lot of research right now too. I'm reading "The Maker's Diet" and some other books. I do believe candida has a lot to do with immunity and illnesses. I also believe that leaky gut is a big cause of RA though I don't have a lot of information on it either. I've just read quite a bit that points to that. I know some people think it's not true at all - but I do think there is a connection. I also think maybe hormones and/or chronic constipation can bring on RA. Guest guest
I've got one for all of you, my RA dr. says he feels I have sleep epnia. Is this supposed to be a part of RA or Lupus? Any imput from anyone is appreciated. ~Kay Simpson <Siwelyak@...> wrote: Kathy, I am dealing with menopause now and RA and do firmly believe the hormones are very connected to all this. Guest guest
It's sleep apnea. It doesn't have anything to do with lupus, RA, or any other autoimmune disease. It's the reason suspected for most crib deaths of infants. You stop breathing momentarily, in your sleep, and it's disruptive, because when that happens, you wake up(although not fully) and resume breathing. ----- Original Message ----- From: shelly smiegal Rheumatoid Arthritis Sent: Sunday, June 27, 2004 8:52 AM Subject: Re: Dodie I've got one for all of you, my RA dr. says he feels I have sleep epnia. Guest guest
No, sleep apnia is a different problem that wakes you up by stopping your breathing multiple times a night. It will make good sleep harder to get and you only get restorative sleep in Rapid Eye Movement (REM) sleep. Have fun, Lynette lmthib@... Guest guest
No, I realize what it is, I was just wondering if anyone could guess why my RA thinks I have it. Thanks for the imput though. ~ Hasenstab <saludo@...> wrote: It's sleep apnea. It doesn't have anything to do with lupus, RA, or any other autoimmune disease.
