's 1st Trip to the Mall...

since getting her band. This was an interesting outing. hehe

My husband and I decided to get out and do some walking at the mall

today. So we packed up and headed out to the mall. I would

have preferred a walk through the park, but it's been way too hot and

is really sensitive to the heat. Anyhow, we spend about 45

minutes at the mall and in that time we got numerous side glances, a

couple of blatant stares and a few comments made out loud. We loved

every second of it!! haha thought she was the life of the

party with all the attention and my husband made a point to

say, " How's it going? " , with his biggest smile to anyone who looked

our way. I think we'll be making a trip to the mall every weekend.

It gave us all a good laugh haha

GOOD FOR YOU GUYS!!!!!! I loved reading your post, your positive attitude will make all the difference by shifting all those stares from a negative to a postive thing and letting know, hey, she is the life of the party I felt the same way in public, I almost made a game out of it by sizing people up first about their reaction and then being surprised if they did the opposite of what I expected (smiled, looked away, etc),. Keep up the great work, you and dh are an inspiration to all those banded beauty parents currently going through the motions!

Hilarious! Good for you for taking everything in

stride. I'm sure the first time out is probably the

hardest - so it can only get easier from here.

How rude though - like what do people actually say out

loud to you? Just curious. I hope I do as well when

What did people actually say to you? People can be so cruel but you guys handled it so well. My hat goes off to you!!! The fact that you looked so happy and so did probably threw them for a loop.
