Hi Marilyn,

Hayden, welcome to the club!! LOL

I too clean 's band at night. What seems to help some what is

after I scrub it with the alcohol, I sit it under a fan running on

high. It really does make a difference. Good luck.

Marilyn:

I'm so happy to hear Hayden is sleeping well again in his band! And

that EVERYONE has adjusted well to having him wear it. It is usually

harder on us parents than the baby, but you're handling it

wonderfully!

Ah yes, I so don't miss that smell...ewww! LOL. The sweating should

greatly diminish soon, then hopefully the stink will as well.

Thanks for the good update.

The sweating is always real bad the first week or two but it should

slow down. He will still sweat but not nearly as much. SO it will

still stink but what I do since I was told that in humid climates sun

drying doesnt work so well ( i live in NC) and I do clean Myas band

at night I let her band dry with a fan running close to it, Plus I

wash her hair with a baby lavendar shampoo which seems to disguise

the smell a bit. Hope this helps and welcome to the club!

Hi Marilyn,

Welcome to the stinky band club :) I definitely agree with what

everyone has been saying (fan drying, sun if you can find it) We're

still using the Mustela over here and it's been 3 weeks now. I'm

happy to report that today when I took 's band off her head

actually smelled good!! I had to recheck to make sure I wasn't

dreaming. I also keep her shampoo in her hair for the whole bath.

Once thing that I do and it has worked even with no sun. I spray the

band with alcohol and rub it around the inside then spray again and

just lay outside in the fresh air for about 20 minutes, after that I

put it under one of my lamps to kind of " warm up " . It really seems

to help out. Maybe in two more weeks it won't be so bad for you

either :)
