Guest guest
Go Marilyn Go! That's great that you have become a plagio educator by explaining this condition- word of mouth is the best form of advertisement so to speak! We did the sun drying trick and it really did work well. As Gail suggessted, maybe your Grandma could do one hour off- if not just to get the band funk out for a bit! Good luck! ' MOm
Guest guest
Ok, I use to laugh when I read your posts about stinky band, and stinky heads- now Hayden is a member of the stinky band club!!! He has had his band 6 days, and he sweats so much he smells like a boys locker room, or an old shoe. I have been bathing him everyday, and cleaning the band with alcohol. Is there another trick to geting rid of the stink? I did get online and order the mustela products that someone posted about- hopefully they will come in soon. I'm not sun drying it- because I usually clean it late night or early morning- then send him to grandmas while I work. He is adjusting well- infact he is sleeping through the night again!! Yeah!!! He still hates it in the carseat. I am adjusting well- infact I feel like an educator in plagiocephaly- as many times as I have told the purpose of the band and why he is this way!!! Guest guest
Marilyn, I can see that your schedule is not conducive to putting the helmet in the sun, but could Grandma do it? This worked the best for us. Of course, here in Texas the sun is strong from 7am to 7pm, so timing was not an issue for us. Maybe if Hayden has some good awake time in the middle of the day and he is not laying down, perhaps he could afford an extra 30 minute break from the helmet so it can air out in the sun. I also left the shampoo and the babies' heads for the entire length of their baths and then they smelled like baby magic for a least a few hours. Gail, Sam and Sara's mom, DOC grads Hayden- sticky band already Ok, I use to laugh when I read your posts about stinky band, and stinky heads- now Hayden is a member of the stinky band club!!! :)He has had his band 6 days, and he sweats so much he smells like a boys locker room, or an old shoe.
