brand new helmet moves sideways and caught baby's ear

Our five month old baby boy, Lucas, got his helmet on Friday.

He did not seem to mind it much but it keeps moving sideways

and folding one of his ear. This again does not seem to bother

him, but it bothers us and we are worried that his ear is going to

stay like that. Also we are wondering if it is normal that it moves

like that and if it is a good fit.

Thanks for advice/comments.

HI Anne - Sophie and Steve,

Your ear question reminded me of a frantic call I made to our orthotist!!!

After getting home from an adjustment I noticed Sky's ears being pushed out a

little. Worried, and annoyed I hadn't noticed it there (a 2 hr ride each way)

I called.

Our orthotist kind of laughed & assured me it was fine - that her ears would

NOT stay that way & look like Dumbo. It was that at that particular point she

was at that fitting no more could be cut out around the ears or there would

not be a good anchor. She apologized for not having pointed it out to me so

that I didn't worry - usually she shows me things that I might get worried

about. Sure enough, 2 wks later she had grown more and the ear sticking out

thing was gone.

I have also noticed the helmet having a better fit as she grows. We have

Starband.

GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!

PS -- If it really worries you CALL!!!
