If you put it on with the redness...it can get infected or break down the skin..and you don't want that to happen..that would mean more time out of the band. If all the redness goes away...then I guess you can put the band back on and recheck it again in a few hours. But if it's still really red after that i would probably leave it off. And definitely call cranial technologies tomorrow. It probably needs an adjustment. Hope that helps... Mom to
Guest guest
Hey leave the band off until the redness goes away and then check it- it wont hurt to leave the band off until tomorrow am although I know how frustrating that is becasue every minute counts. If the redness is on the side of the bossing of the forehead- then that might not be a problem. had a constant red spot on his forehead that took forever to go away but that ws becasue the band wasd working. Watch the area closely make sure it is not rubbing or getting raw on the skin- if it is not then it is ok. If it is rubbing alot that is too much pressure either way call first thing in the am to get an appointment for them to check it out. I am so glad matt is doing so well. Great job. Let us know how it goes. Hope this helped. beck brian doc grad
Guest guest
My son wore a helmet two years ago. He used to get redness, too. One time he even got raw from the rubbing and the sweat. We started putting a few cotton balls taped inside the helmet in the area where it rubbed. This helped a lot. Good Luck! A piece of cloth would probably work just as well. Robyn Head Redness With New Doc Band Hi everyone,We just got our Doc Band last week, and a seems to be tolerating it quite well. No crying or anything. The problem we have is that a has redness over her right forehead and near her right ear. The cranial technologies people told us that the redness should go away within an hour of taking off the band, but it takes more like 3 or 4 hours for it to go away. Is there anything we should be concerned with? Can she still wear the band despite the redness, or do we need to take off the band until tomorrow (when the cranial technology people can see her)? What does the redness mean? Does she need a skin treatment or adjustment of the doc band, perhaps? Thanks, and MattFor more plagio info
Guest guest
Hello!! We were told that if the redness didnt go away after the hour it was off, was to leave it off and call them!! Korben(DOC GRad 2-6-02) did that at first, but the more they would trim off of the band, the redness woulndt be so bad!! So dont worry and just leave it off until the oppointment!!
