Wow..how frustrating. Don't give up. I know it's hard especially with the insurance not paying...but don't give up. I haven't heard of anyone outgrowing it in 2 months..but then i'm not experienced with this....

If she outgrew the band..wouldn't that mean she had a lot of correction?

Hang in there,

Hi All,

I thought it was time to update you all on . As usual I don't

have good news!! went to CT 2 weeks ago and again this week.

She was out of her band for 5 days due to a bacterial infection. Her

ped thinks her band caused it. I went back to CT on Thursday and told

Charlotte that AGAIN has been out of her band because it is

shifting so much, it's covering her right eye! And all she did was

cry when it was on. Charlotte said it's not supposed to do that. I

knew that (from reading the posts :-))that's why I kept her out of

it. So Charlotte adjusted it again. This time in the front, which she

says weakens the band. She thinks that might have out grown

her band in the 5 days she was out of it. I don't see how that is

possible! She's 13 months old. She's really not growing all that

much. In a month she's gained 7 ounces. She's now 19lbs 9oz. I don't

see how a baby her age can out grow a band in 2 months!!! Have any of

you ever heard of that? Charlotte also said that she is surprised to

see 's correction coming so slowly. She thought that for being

in the band for 2 months she would of seen more improvement. I don't

see any improvement. I wouldn't be going so crazy over this if my ins

was paying. They didn't and won't pay anything b/c Hanger orthotics

is in network. I kind of knew that she'd need a second band.. but the

thought of a third never crossed my mind. Charlotte is going to check

it again in 2 weeks. But it is STILL shifting, covering her right eye.

So the adjustment Charlotte did, really didn't do much. Part of me is

so ready to just give up!

Has anyone ever heard of a baby 's age out growing a band in 2

months?? She got it at 11 months and 1 week and is now 13 months and

1 week and 3 days.

Thanks,

I'm sorry to hear of all the problems with 's band. That must be very

discouraging. Has grown in height? outgrew her helmet in height

before she outgrew it in head circumfrence. Because of her growth in height the

helmet did not fit her head correctly anymore. Still, it seems unusual that she

would outgrow her band in 2 months considering her age, especially if you have

not seen any significant change. did have a CT scan or x-rays, right? I

can't remember.

I'm sorry - how frustrating!
