Guest guest
Over the weekend I was thinking about the small (slightly larger than a quarter) flat spot my daughter had on the back of her head as an infant. This spot was bald for the longest time. Now she has very long hair and no facial asymmetry (never did) but I put my hand on the back of her head yesterday just to see if it had rounded out. That flat spot is STILL THERE. I was thinking about it because dh and I were having doubts about doing the helmet thing. I do believe that this has erased all my doubts!! Some days ' head really doesn't look all that bad, but over the weekend it was quite noticeable - which is why I started thinking about 's flat spot. I am going to point this out to my ped next time we're there - just for posterity sake! Kristi (4) and (11mos) OH
Guest guest
Kristi: Yeah, that would erase any doubt I had left in me too about getting his band. That's too bad the flatness remains, but happy tohear it's not noticeable & she had no assymetries. Will 's band be in this week or next? Guest guest
Kristi, I know exactly what you mean! I really wish I had known about plagio and bands when my soon-to-be 4 year old was a baby, I really think he would have benefitted from one. And because I was always self conscious about the size of his head (it looked huge compared to the rest of his body...the kid is a peanut!) I was more determined to get the twins treated. Luckily Patch doesn't have any facial assymetry either, and he has sort of 'grown into his head'. Oh well, I'll just chalk it up to the fact that we're Irish....we have some BIG heads in my family!!
