Guest guest
Macey has her first sinus infection in probably 2 years. She is on her second antibiotic. The first one was prescribed by the pediatrician because we were trying to avoid the ENT. But it did not handle things and her headaches were still there with the stuffiness. She is now on Doxycycline and will go back in 2 weeks to see if things have resolved. If not the some type of imaging will be done. Also the ENT prescribed a new nasal spray called Patanase. It's an antihistamine nasal spray. We were given two sample bottles and a prescription was faxed in. She will use the samples first to see if it works because when we went to Walgreens to pick it up the cost was $30. Ouch. So here's to hoping it is a passing thing. P.S. Les has actually also just finished antibiotics (Bactrim) and a steroid dose pack for a sinus/chest infection. I'm really thinking they're giving it back and forth to each other.
