Take some masking tape and tape over everything you don't want

painted. THEN, use spray on paint, one that has a GLOSSY finish. I

used acrylic spray on paint and then acrylic paints to paint a little

detail. You can use a finishing spray in a glossy finish if you want

(doesn't really help, much, though) and it will hide any and all

sanding and bad paint marks. You can probably remove the old paint

by either peeling it off or using a very fine sandpaper.

I painted my son's helmet 3 times and the second time was a really

bad job when I tried to paint it with a brush and not a spray can.

You can see the third time, though, under photos, Jill's Evil Twins.

Air the helmet for several hours before putting it on to dissipate

the smell.

Good luck,

Jill Ramos
