Well...they look at how much room is left in that area in the helmet..and how much the head is growing. If the helmet needs more room for the head to grow..they just shave that area of the helmet...to allow more room for growth. I hope that helps..

When has a fitting, they look at what just described. They will also put their fingers inside the band while it's on her head to feel around for cramped areas. Then they actually look down from the top at her head without the band on and compare it to the mold from her casting (ie, her head-on-a stick). Sometimes they wet her hair for a better comparison.

Hey no question is silly the first thing I asked the ortho in there

was how do you know what to take off-and she explained it pretty much like

everyone on thebopard did here. Hope you're doing well and things are Atlanta
