Guest guest
I just wanted to share my experience with this because the doctor and pharmacist both tried to tell me when I had a yeast infection under the breasts and in underarm area that monistat cream for the " other area " would not work for this. At the time I did not have medical insurance and the price for a tube of statin cream was almost $100. I turned down the prescription, went home and used what I already had on hand. It worked just great! Until the situation cleared up though, I was quite miserable. It stung and was seemingly impossible to keep dry. At the risk of sounding crazy, I also lined the bottom of my bra cups with tissues/paper towels trying to absorb extra moisture. I recommend not putting soap on the area when showering but using only water and making sure you pat dry with towel. , I hope this is resolved for you quickly. Also you might try eating more yogurt with live cultures and including buttermilk with cultures into your diet. These will help your body fight against the yeast tendency. Eating a diet high in sugars will cause more yeast in your body as will taking antibiotics. I hope this helps. I can certainly emphathize with you.
