Thank you to , , and Debbie for your reply. I appreciate you

taking the time to help. We went yesterday for the initial visit and I took

all of your advise regarding the interview process. He has been treating

Plagio for more than three years and has fitted more than 200 cases.

According to him, the Ballert style helmet is almost identical to the DOCBand

in the way that it works. The differences are mostly in the manufacturing

process. He was extremely helpful in explaining the differences between the

different types of bands and helmets. My wife and I feel extremely confident

in his abilities (and the success he has had ), so we took the next step and

had 's head cast. It was a different process than what I had expected.

The casting process took a little bit less than 5 minutes and was extremely

easy on . He didn't even cry until the cast was cut off.

We are scheduled to get the helmet on Wednesday of next week, so I will keep

you posted as to the results. Thanks again for your help, I really do

appreciate it.

Ray,

Sounds like your off to a great start. Still, be sure to keep on top of him

and ask lots of questions, raise your concerns when necessary. I would even

think keeping your own log of pictures would help give you peace of mind that

its doing its job correctly- we have had others post that orthos have tried

to convince them it was working, when it was clearly not. I only tell you

that to keep you on your toes and avoid any potential pitfalls, otherwise,

don't worry- your on your way to a rounder noggin for your son. Good luck

with the process and please keep us posted, we would love to hear the latest

and greatest on your little man.

Ray it sounds like you have a good orthoworking withyou with good experience

that is such a relief. It is nice to have another daddy on board here-we are

so glad you have found us. I am glad casting is over that really is the

toughest part now you are onto a rounder head in no time. Please be sure to

let us know how Wednesday goes and how Mr. adjusts. Welcome again!
