,

Off to a great start for little -!! That is great news- no,

fantastic news that there are no fitting problems and he slept through the

night! It's all downhill from here! You will warm up to the band with more

time than its taken , we as parents have to deal with knowing what those

stares and comments are about- but take it with a grain of salt. It is

something different to look at, I always say that if a lady had blue hair, we

would all look, or a huge pimple on a nose, its just human nature. Keep in

your heart the focus of the band's importance, and the general public's lack

of awareness and just sheer curiosity, and it will not eat away at you that

people are staring or whispering. I would always think, you have no idea,

so, the fact that YOU know that its no big deal, should be comfort enough.

My daycare also seemed a little apprehensive about it- the more you explain

it and make them aware of how important it is, the better they will feel

about it also. They were as relieved as I was in a sense, because everyday I

would have to say, " be sure to keep him off his right side " - and of course,

they could not be as vigilant as I would have since they had other children

to care for as well. Start kissing all those body parts that have been

neglected while his head got all the attention-haha- go for the toes, the

fingers, the belly, the ears- lots of kissable parts for the next 6-8 weeks

to concentrate on. Good luck and keep us posted on 's progress!! I

can't wait to hear the latest and greatest!

Kerri,

HAHA!! I did that too- not as warm and fuzzy huh? I still thought it counted though like he could feel it!
