"Ohhhhh.....did he break his head?"

People immediately thought had surgery.

The first time we passed a child, who was about 4, I see him staring and then hear as they passed:

"Mommy, that poor baby had BRAIN surgery!!""

Really loud.

I had to laugh.

You're going to get used to it quicker than you think...except for the head-kissing thing. I still miss that after 7 weeks. I always catch myself kissing the helmet, not thinking. I finally decided, what the heck, I'll kiss the helmet.

:o)

We just spent our 1st 24 hours in the Band. I have to say that it has

been much harder on me and the girls at daycare than . I miss

kissing his little noggin already :( He is quite a tropper. He's been

passing all the red spot checks with flying colors so we were able to

sleep in the band last night. He slept all night! YEAH!

I have to say that I can't believe that he's really wearing it

already...and the looks from people......

Sounds like is doing great already - that's wonderful news! It

is usually much harder on us than it is on the baby wearing the

band! I cried for the first couple of days Abby wore her band & was

totally depressed seeing her in it for the first wk or 2. But it

does get easier on us parents every day, esp. once you see that

roundng head, and with being so young, he'll be out of it in no

time!

Hope things continue going so well - keep us posted.
