Guest guest
Hi Ben's Mom I am sorry you had a bad experience with CT but I am glad that someone was able to point you in the direction of another treatment method that is great. We have had plenty of star band success stories and I am certain our moms will chime in there and give you there's. It is really all in the orthotists and the fact that your are confident with yours and he cares is a great start. We are very happy you have found us and would love to know more about you and Ben. Guest guest
Hi Ben's mom, My con Cole has a STAR Band, and we've been very happy with it. Like so many others have commented, the orthotist is key. We've been happy with ours, and like you, we saw some changes very soon (within a week and 2 days!). Good luck to you and Ben, and keep us posted. Kia (mom to Cole, born 11/20/01, STARBand 6/18/02)
Guest guest
Hi Ben's Mom! We had a wonderful experience with the Starband, not once..but two times! Both of my twins needed to wear the STARbands for their plagio, and I honestly couldn't be happier with the results that my twins received. My daughter, Kaylie, had mild left side plagio with facial and ear assymetry. My son, Danny, had mild/moderate brachycephaly. They were about 7 and 1/2 months when we got the bands, Kaylie wore hers for 4 months, and Danny wore his for 3 months. We were very fortunate in the fact that we had a very experienced ortho who had been treating plagio for at least 20 years. And therein, lies the key to having success with either the STARband, DOCband, or a locally made helmet. Each product is only as good as the ortho who is treating your child. You sound very comfortable and confident with your ortho, and that really is awesome. With your son seeing improvement already is a great indication that this will work for you. Keep an eye on those red spots, you really don't want them to last longer than one hour. Best of luck to you and your son, and please keep us posted! Guest guest
So sorry to hear of your troubles you had with Cranial Tech - I will say that is quite unusual for anyone to have troubles with Cranial Tech, unfortunately, you & your son were one of the few Glad though that you're having better luck with the other company. My daughter is probably one of the bad STARband stories you have heard of - Abby. Like everyone else replied, it all depends on the orthotist & his or her experience in treating plagio babies with the STARband. I see Niki replied to you with her twins success stories. I wish you & Ben the best of luck & the roundest of heads! Please be sure to keep us updated on his progress!!! Welcome to the group also, glad to have you.
