Guest guest
Yeah, I used the stuff in the bottles the second time, but dh didn't want to spend the money (!) on more brushes since we had some. Besides, he hates the foam ones (although I did suggest those). DH also has his heart set on the helmet resembling that of the NY football Giants. He grew up in Piscataway, NJ and has been a fan all his life. Plus, his first bday party (on Sat) is a football party.(I wanted to do the Tank Engine but was overruled) AND he'll be wearing it thru football season. We are using car racing stripe stuff for the red stripe which was suggested by someone we saw a CT awhile back who had theirs decorated like the Buckeye helmet. That stuff is fine, you just have to put it on right the first time around!! Finding a NY sticker that looks like the one on the real helmet around here is impossible. Buckeye, Browns, maybe Bengals but no Giants!! I couldn't even find him a cute little Giants jersey at the sports store! DH is now making one out of the contact paper to stick it on since the stencil we created last night didn't work to well!! He just re-painted it with the new spray paint (I'm with you - I am terrified we'll get something inside it but it is taped up good with saran wrap covering the openings on top and bottom.) With any luck, it'll work this time. Since my computer (currently using work laptop) is on the fritz, I won't be able to post pictures for awhile. Well, that was long winded! Sorry!
