Guest guest
You know I went through the same thinking when I was forever stretching and felt so alone with it, my husband plays softball and about 5 of us had babies within months of each other. I was always so jealous of the " easy " life they seemed to be enjoying, while we were stressed to the core. But, now, all but one of them and I am not kidding you, have had developmental issues and are currently getting evaluated for something or other. Now I feel as though, WE are lucky, and my one friend whose son may be autistic/ or have language apraxia, says she is jealous of us- I said well you weren't when we were in therapy for so long! In fact, most of them felt sorry for us, namely another couple whose son is now being evaluated for not talking as well as being unruly (don't know about that one- he's only 20 months but the Doc thinks he is too unruly(?!) and needs to talk more, so he wants him evaluated). Another friend did not tell us that her child suffered some serious febrile seizures until just recently- so I guess some people may just keep bad or hard news to themselves too- when I thought everything was just perfect. At least with tort and plagio, its very treatable, and its a short walk for us, not a lifetime. We've had a rocky start, but I hope that just means we've all paid our dues early- fingers crossed!!!! Hang in there! ' Mom
