Vivian is NOT getting her band today.... :(

Hi all-

I just found out that Vivian's fitting appointment for this

afternoon is cancelled. Her band isn't in yet. It has been two

weeks since the initial appt and I am just really bummed. I totally

feel like crying! I was all psyched up and such. The patient

coordinator was like " she wants me to put you in the books for next

Friday " . Hello - that's a whole week! Not to mention the fact that

she's 10.5 months right now. I asked if they would call me if it

came in sooner, and they will.

Do you think this will affect the fit? It will be three weeks from

the casting. Ack! I'm just really sad right now

I can totally feel your pain. was just banded last Saturday

after almost three months of fighting with doctors to get the rx.

Two days before he was supposed to be casted, CT called to cancel and

wanted to reschedule for the following week. I was sooo upset. DH

made a big stink and they reconsidered and got it done. It then took

nearly two weeks for the band to come in. In fact, I called to

inquire about the status of it and was told it had just arrived that

day (???). Anyway, I would call them daily just to be sure you get

in immediately. I can't believe that it would take this long for the

band - or that they would want to go that long between casting and

banding. Are you far from the clinic? Would you be able to run

right it if you called and they said it just arrived? Basically

that's what happened to us, but we are nearly 3hrs from our clinic

and there was just no way we could get there that day.

BTW, will be 1yr on Mon so I really do understand the pain of

waiting yet another week!
