Just wanted to quickly update the group on 's helmet. His 3rd

helmet has been a success! It fits the way it's supposed to not

rotating... boy I'm glad I found this message board... Thanks to you

all, I discovered that the rotation was not normal regardless of what

our old orthotist said about the old helmet. This new orthotist is

fantastic! Great w/ and completely knowledgeable... now we just

have to wait and see if it works due to being 11 mo..

Oh I'm so happy to hear finally has a good fitting band!

That's great to hear that the new orthotist is more knowledgable, a

good ortho + a good fitting band = a rounder head!!! It might take a

little longer being is 11 mos old, but it'll definitley get

there!

Keep us posted - good luck!!!!

Francine,

You don't know how happy I am to read this- that's why this Board is so great to bounce things off of people going through the same things, without our "truthful" parenting experiences, many people might be led down the same road with an unexperienced orthotist, miss valuable treatment time, and only have regret to show for all their headache- so glad you will not be one of those people!!!! I am so happy to hear that its a success, please continue to update us with continuing good news for !

Jen so glad is adjusting without difficulty that does make it easier on momma to warm up to the band in no time. Have fun decorating and be sure to post pictures when you do. He sounds like he will do great and you will be LOVING the band in no time-promise. Please keep us posted on what happens at the hearing test.

happy rounding!

Jen:

Glad is doing well in his new helmet :) The sweating is

pretty bad for the first wk or 2, but after his body temp adjusts the

sweat will diminish. In the mean time, definitely dress him a little

cooler.

You'll get used to it too, I had a hard time seeing Abby in her band

for the first week, but after that it was no big deal. Then I

thought she looked goofy w/o the band on!

Good luck at the hearing test next week, please let us know how that

goes.
