Guest guest
Funny, I haven't been on this board in quite some time and the first post is exactly my issue. is going to be one year old on Sat and has been in his band a little over 3 months. Charlotte at CT said that this will be the final 2 weeks. Unfortunately, I'm not jumping for joy because I really feel that his flat area is still too flat. It definitely has come a long way - the bottom of his skull rounding nicely but the right middle, right behind his right ear is still flat and bothers me. Charolette does not recommend another band and feels he has had some nice growth. I'm sure that is the case but I'm still not thrilled. She said that we can certainly can do another band but she wouldn't recommend it. We see are craniofacial specialist next week so I'm curious to hear his opinion. I sure hope has some good growth in the next 2 weeks. My other concern is that 's cowlick is right on his flat spot and I'm afraid that it will not hide the residual flatness. Also, would ins cover a second band? ann/ NJ DOC Band 3 months and counting down... > --- Kathy <kathy_m_wilson@...> wrote: > > Good News! Kayla is done wearing her helmet. Guest guest
Hi ann!! It was so nice meeting you at CT. is such a ham and so cute. I love the way he claps!! LOL I can't offer you any advice, I've never had to deal with this. But I can tell you that I have read a lot of posts stating that babies continued to improve after graduating. I hope that makes you feel a little better! Please let us know what happens. > > > Good News! Kayla is done wearing her helmet. We > > > had our final Dr.'s appointment today. Guest guest
It was nice meeting you too . It was very comforting to see someone I " know " there. Hope is doing well. Saw here on the CT photo album. What a great pic! That should make the calendar. I guess what bothered me is that Charlotte said that in her experience, most babies have no improvement or no re-flattening after graduation. I was kinda bummed about that. ann > > > > Good News! Guest guest
ann, Thank you! I was surprised to see it there. I sent it in,but I didn't think it would be put up so soon. Are you sure you didn't misunderstand Charlotte? Don't be bummed. I've read so many posts on here about babies getting improvement after they've graduated. I'm sure the ppl I'm talking about will chime in here and reassure you! Please keep us posted! When is your next appt at CT? > > > > > Good News! Kayla is done wearing her helmet.
