Guest guest
: That was so nice of Bill to come in on a Sat. for you guys! Sounds like you have a super orthotist! I am glad to hear it fits so well and doesn't resemble Abby's bad fit :( I don't ever want to see any other photos like my Abby's band !!! I hadn't seen them in a while & just took a look at them again, brought tears to my eyes! It sounds like Vivian is adjusting perfectly. Now on to a rounder head! Keep us updated. Guest guest
YEAH for Vivian! That's so cool ! I've taken Chase out recently in his helmet, and one lady came up to me and thought he had to wear it because of seizures. I thought that was very interesting for someone to think that. I'd rather have people come up to me and ask " why? " than to just assume something else. A lady at church came over to us right away and says I have a friend who helped created those. I thought that was neat. Good luck! Tina Jade (3 1/2 years) & Chase, 11 months (helmet 9/12/02)
Guest guest
, Sounds like Vivian is adjusting very nicely to her band!! I am really happy to hear that the ortho opened their office on a Saturday so that Vivian could get into her band as soon as possible! Be sure to keep us posted on how everything goes! Tina, Actually my co-workers nephew has had to wear a helmet for seizures, because he would be at school and have an uncontrollable seizure and fall down and hit his head or his chin. The poor kid has a permanent dent in his chin from all the bangs he's taken, and also on his head somewhere is a knot. I feel so bad for him! He now has what they call a para, and this person must be with him at school wherever he goes, just to catch him if he falls (an alternative to having to wear the helmet). This is a state program and that's their service. It's scary because they say this all started from a bad fall at daycare when he was about 4- they are in litigation because the daycare never called his Mom, washed his bloody clothes, and she had to take him to get stitches it was that bad- can't believe they didn't call her!!! Ever since then, he has had seizures, although its inconclusive (per the defense witnesses) that the seizures were caused by the trauma. Sorry, more than you needed to know, but they do helmet kids with seizures just as protection also. ' Mom
