Hello to all. I just had to respond to the rash and monistat cream

usage. I use to work as a pharmacy tech. and the monistat cream will

work for yeast infections in unusual areas. I have even used it on

my kids when they had a diaper rash when i did not have any diaper

rash cream. (Diaper rashes are mostly yeast infections anyway.

Thrush in the mouth is nothing but a yeast infection as well, they

just call it thrush, afterall, saying you have a yeast infection in

your mouth is very disgusting especially when " having a yeast

infection " is referred to that " other area " .) You could even try

diaper rash cream. Unless its gotten to bad. Then you may need

something stronger, such as the monistat or an Rx.

To all that asked about my blood test results. I called the

doctor's office today and it will be Monday before I get them. I

hope everyone has a great weekend. I hope I did not offend anyone

with my 2 cents. If so, I do apologize. I did not mean too. Thanks

to all for you support. I think this group is a GREAT bunch of

people! If anyone needs someone to talk to or just someone to listen

when they need to let off steam just email me. I started to cry when

I read all the support. Thanks again to all of you.

My daughter spent a few years in Louisiana while her DH was stationed there. She discovered a great diaper and every other kind of rash cream. The name, I kid you not, is

Boudreaux's Butt Paste. You can find it in some WalMarts.

This stuff is fantastic!

Hi Anita,

I just want to welcome you to the group. You are definitely not

alone. When you have any kind of major illness that requires you to

deal with doctors extensively you learn that some are thorough and

some are not. Some are caring and some are not. Some really know

their stuff and some cheated their way through medical

school...probably.

I am on this list because my dear husband has a new diagnosis of RA,

but I have MS. One time I went to a doctor when I was so in pain I

could hardly stand it and having so much trouble walking that I

borrowed a walking stick. The doctor accused me of being there just

so I could get pain medication and sent me away untreated. I did

want medication, not because I'm a " druggie, " but because I needed

help to keep functioning. I needed relief from pain, if there was

such a thing.

Some doctors are having a bad day and some have nothing but bad

days. Sometimes it's best to find another doctor, if you can.

This RA group encouraged me to call the rheumatologist and see if

there were any cancellations so that we could get to see him

earlier. As a result, I found the rheumatologist has a cancellation

list that you get on, so they will call you if they have one.

From your introduction, I wasn't sure if your ortho doctor

recommended you to see a rheumatologist or not. What about your

family doctor? The sooner you get dx'd the sooner you can start

getting some relief--we hope.

Hugs and prayers from another Anita,

Nita

Oh Jacy,

I would have missed hearing about this wonderful product if I hadn't

been on this list! LOL! I'm really going to look at Walmart here and

see if they carry it, but what an unusual name!?? :0)

Thanks,

Nita

It is a funny name, but I promise you it is the best I have ever used for anything like this.

My foster son is in the Navy and he has my daughter send it to him wherever he is because he can't always find it wherever...

Hello another Anita,

There aren't many of us out there. It's nice when I do meet

someone else with the same name as myself. I know exactly about

doctors not giving pain med's. I have migraine headaches very bad at

times and once with my old family physician, I had a terrible

migraine over the weekend and had to call the after hours #. I did

not ask for pain med's, I asked if he could call me in something,

anything, a migraine med. to get rid of it. I did not have the money

to go to the ER just to get a shot. Although, I know it works when I

have to go, but I do not like having to go to the ER everytime I have

one after hours. That place is VERY expensive! Because of all

the " pill head druggies " , the people that really need the stuff can't

get it. And that makes me very angry! But yet, the " druggies " can

still get it from the streets and even some from the doctors as

well. And us decent folks are the ones that have to suffer. When I

did have a pain med Rx, my mother-in-law use to ask me for some of my

pills (to use for the wrong reasons) and I would flat out tell

her " no " and " why " I would tell her no. With controlled narcotics

you can only get so many refills and you CANNOT get them refilled

before the days of that script runs out.

My ortho. dr. did not say anything about a Rheumatoligist. He may

be waiting for the results before he does. I thought an ortho. dr.

could treat for RA, because it eventually gets in the bones. I went

to the ortho dr. first because I thought my pain was from bone spurs

(which I do have on my ankles and shoulders. and thought maybe that's

what was on my wrists as well.) As for my family physician, I have

not even said anything to him yet. I am going to wait and see what

the ortho dr. says after my results and then I am going to talk to my

PCP. Oh,yeah, I want you to know you and your husband are in my

thoughs and prayers. I hope both of you have some great doctors and

you have the right med's for you and if not already then you will

very soon. If I can be of help or just here for support please email

anytime at coolcat1022@... Thanks for the support

you have given me and I hope I can return the same for you and your

husband. Take care of yourselves and hope to talk to you later.

From one Anita to another,

Anita M.
