Guest guest
Thanks . I think his head has improved. Funny how one day I hardly notice it and other days (like today) I swear he's regressing. I guess I'm just nervous about him not sleeping in his helemt. I still reposition him at night. Just a habit I can't seem to get out of.... I pray that his head will still continue to improve. I worry about his head shape when we go swimming and wonder what other kids will say if he decides to take swimming lessons when he is older. (I'm pretty sure his cute face will distract the girls though LOL.) His hair can pretty much hide the flatness to the point where noone would notice (except the head police.) Overall though I am happy with the results but still angry that we weren't referred to the specialist early. Dana, You sound a lot like most of us that have graduated, still worried!! You would think our eyes would stop playing games with us- but on some occassions I have felt regression was an issue, and on others, that he's actually gotten rounder! I know I have talked with other moms about these same issues. Today, over a year after graduation, I honestly feel that he has continued to round out. I have always felt that his head started growing in the wrong direction inutero, and the helmet guided his misaligned ears and bones back to where they were supposed to be- without that correction, I doubt I would be seeing continued improvement. I would still reposition when possible too, just for safe measure, what could it hurt? I think looks fantastic and you shouldn't stress about the swimming pool days to come, he'll look great and no one will spot that flatter area except mom! Who knows, by that point, it may be less noticeable to even you! No more stressing, now is the time to rejoice that the process is over, and just be cautious enough that you ensure regression will not happen by repositioning and less time on the back of the head. Great job mom! ' Mom
