11 months is certainly not too late. If you are in Indy and want to

get another opinion, you might want to schlep it here to Cleveland

or Chicago to get an evaluation for a DOC Band. Or, post here in a

header where exactly you live and maybe someone can recommend an

orthotist near you.

It is amazing how the babies do not try to mess with the bands.

You have time, but I would recommend moving fast!

Hi & welcome to our group!

I couldn't disagree more with what you have been told. It is most

certainly not too late to get improvment with a helmet or a band

yet. My daughter is proof of that, Abby began her DOCband treatment

at age 11.5 mos with severe plagio, she wore one band for 4.5 mos

total and rec'd 50-60% correction - we couldn't be any happier with

her results. Abby also tolerated the band w/o any problems, it is

very rare for children, even older, to not tolerate their helmet,

they don't mind the band for a second.

I know you'll get many more replies similar to mine. Please, if you

are not comfortable with your son's head shape & wish to get him

banded, then do so. It's not too late!!!

Please keep us posted on your situation, and best of luck.
