Guest guest
Your dinner sounds fine. But many of us try to minimize the canned and processed foods to cut down salt and any other unnecessary additives. We maximize our health and minimize our calories that way. This is not something I can put into one post. It's simple but you do have to do some reading to understand why these changes in diet will benefit your health. That's why I urge you and all other newbies to: read all our files (especially BEGINNING CRON) and digest them and to read Dr Walford's book. This is critical if you want to learn what we're about. on 5/5/2004 7:14 PM, Marsha Becco at beccous@... wrote: > What is wrong with this, please? This is one third of my calories for the > day. Guest guest
I didn't take it that way Kath. We are all searching and wanting to find something that helps. Listen to everyone, read everything, believe nothing unless you can prove it in your own research. jacymail@...IM: jacygal - ICQ: 96949087www.geocities.com/mtn_rose Signature powered by Plaxo Want a signature like this? -----Original Message-----From: Kathy A [mailto:joyfulkate60@...]Sent: Thursday, June 17, 2004 20:42Rheumatoid ArthritisSubject: diets Hi, Just a quick comment on the reply I had on my comments about "The Maker's Diet" - I wasn't implying that everyone could heal their RA with diets . . . I was simply bringing out this information as I am in a very huge search mode right now. I only recently found out I had the disease- and I am doing all the reading I can do. I need encouragement here - not discouragement. I certainly understand that everyone has different bodies and what works for one will not work for another. I take pain killers for my feet which are crippling due to an osteo arthritis thing I have had since birth but I don't tell everyone with arthritis that they should run up and take this medicine!!! The same with RA and diet. I was merely looking for thoughts, advice, information, and most of all encouragement . . . maybe I'm in the wrong place. My letter certainly did not sound judgemental the way it was apparently taken. Thanks, Kath

I wouldn't worry about being misunderstood. In my experience, it happens quite often on these lists because we are limited in our means of expression. I have found lists to be very good for the exchange of information but no substitute for real people in the area of emotional support. Guest guest
Kathy, I did not take offense at all. I have had great success getting off drugs with strict and careful diet. I may have happened on a super antioxidant to help me get rid of the anti-inflammatory drug.
