Kerri,

In our situation, the CT office would tell me (or I would just keep asking,

when can we expect graduation??), and they would say, well, we're looking for

this area to fill in a bit more, and each week they would tell me what

progress was made and about how much more time they felt we needed for the

remaining areas. She couldn't really give me an exact date, but after about

2 mnths, they could tell that it wouldn't be much longer since he had

achieved growth every week. You'll probably start discussing it with your

Ortho once your getting close and they will give you an " estimate " of time

left. We had graduated officially, but since he was still fitting into the

band, we could leave it on until it didn't fit anymore- which we did for

another week I think. Hope this helps!

Sherri kinda prepped us saying he was growing out of his helmet but had seen

so much improvement she thought he would be done in 2 weeks then we came back

the next week and she said- I think this is it. !

Kerri,

We knew about 2 weeks before graduation. We went every week for adjustments because of my kids' age, and the OT told us when they could no longer shave any more of the lining. One week after that they were able to use a heat gun on the helmet and pull out the sides to give us just a little bit more time in the band. Then we were done. The pressure points were no longer effective and there was no more lining to shave. I don't know if that's how it was for anyone else, but that is what they did for both Sam and Sara. I guess if you get 100% correction before the lining is all gone, then it would be different. How is doing so far?

Question about graduation

How do you know when the kids are ready to graduate? Is it something you gradually discuss a little before it happens or is it all of a sudden, you're done?Kerri & Baby (Chicago) In DOC band 8 weeks so far For more plagio info

They say she is showing outstanding correction for only 8 weeks. They've been shaving out the inside since her first fitting. :o) She's almost 10 months old now, so I'm hoping she still has some good rounding time left.
