Guest guest
Hi Ray, I searched the archives for you. I found a few old posts about the ballert helmet. From what I understand it's a passive helmet. The posts on here stated that the babies that wore ballert helmets wore them for a year plus. Passive is good for an infant. I'm not too sure how good it would be for a 10 month old. DOCbands and STARbands are active bands. The difference between active and passive is, a passive helmet sits on the babies head, eventually the babies head will grow into the shape of the helmet. An active band actually redirects the growth of the head through gentle pressure. Do you have a DOCband clinic or a STARband clinic near you? I'm not a doctor but I think your son would be much better off in an active band. Most babies wear active bands for about 4.5 months. Where are you located? I can let you know if your near a DOCband clinic. > Thank you. I appreciate the advise. I spent a couple of hours searching > last night, but was unable to find anything.
