's neurosurgeon appt. today and questions for everyone!!!!

Well, we had 's appt. today in Chicago. We were told what I suspected...she has plagio and needs a helmet. She will be casted on Tues. She has to get an MRI of her brain done under sedation just to make sure there's nothing else causing her tort and plagio. The MRI is scheduled for Oct. 7th and then back for the results on Oct. 10th. We also have to go to see him on Oct. 31 so he can see how she is doing with her helmet. He wants to see us every three months while in her helmet. We Overall, it was pretty much everything I had expected except the lady there really made an insensitive comment that got me crying. I asked her about the risks with the sedation and she said "Well, there's always the risk she might not wake up". Like I really needed to hear that right now!!! I have been crying on and off all day long and don't even want to think like that.

One of my questions is has anyone else had their child undergo an MRI under sedation and what happened during the procedure?

I am sure I will be posting more on Tues. after her casting about how it went and what I should expect....Ladies and I have officially joined the club!!! I have a digital camera so I plan on taking pictures on Tues. and will send them then!!!
