Guest guest
I am new to the group and previously posted about whether it was too late to do repositioning on my four month old (his name is -- everyone always thinks it's his last name. Anyway, I have been aggresively repositioning for about a week now and have already noticed improvement, which is very encouraging. 's flat spot is on his ride hand side, and I have done everything possible to keep him off of it, and have had really good luck. My only problem is a night though because no matter what I do, he eventually ends up with his head turned to the right. The only way I call really prevent this is by lying him on his left side (with the help of a positioner) and letting him sleep in a side lying position. It actually works GREAT because he seems to sleep much better on his side than his back and plus it keeps him off of his flat spot. My only concern, however, is whether this is safe. I am a first time mom, and of course worried about SIDS b/c everything you read/hear, etc. says to put the baby on his back to sleep. Is anyone else out there using side sleeping? Is is safe? Thanks in advance.
