Hi & welcome to our group:

Your daughter is at a great younger age to begin her treatment, she's

really at the " perfect " age. She'll be hitting many many growth

spurts over the next several mos so she should have great & fast

results.

Since you have already gone thru the cast and her Nopco helmet is in

the works, I would still go ahead with the Nopco helmet. IF for some

reason it does not give you the correction you have hoped for, then

pursue the DOCband.

Even though the Nopco is passive, at this age she should still get

good correction. The DOCband, being aggressive might give you faster

results, but again, being so young, she should still get great

results in the passive style Nopco. We've had other members use

Nopco, hopefully some will reply to you with their own personal

experiences.

How did your daughter handle the casting? Where is her plagio at? Is

it mild, moderate, or severe? When will her helmet be in?

Good luck with it. Again, welcome to our group, please be sure to

stick with us & keep us posted on her progress and let us know your

decision.

Your daughter is at a great age to get progress in a passive helmet.

I would say since you have already casted her to follow through with

that. She is at such a great age that if you aren't happy, you can

always switch. But, from what I have read here, the NOPCO parents

are very happy. I know Ken is thrilled with Zack's progress.

Good luck with the fitting!

Hi new member (sorry, I didn't catch your name!) and welcome to the

group! I am also the proud mommy to a set of twins! Congrats on

your newest additions!

As you've already heard, your daughter is at an excellent age to

receive correction for her plagio. We have had quite a few members

who have used NOPCO to treat their child's plagio. One dad here,

Ken, also has twins and one of them (cutie Zack) is in a NOPCO helmet

right now. Since your daughter has already been casted for her

helmet, I think you should give it a try. Your daughter will be

hitting many growth spurts in the near future, so she should have

great results, and quickly too!

Good luck to you, keep us posted on what you decide!
