Kendra,

I'm so glad your little one has a beautiful round head! I know that is the first thing I'll be looking for when I eventually have another one. I just wanted to thank you for being a great group owner and providing such a warm, welcoming place for all of us moms and dads out there who, upon finding the board, are frightened and clueless about plagio. I know I felt reassured and at ease when I found out there was a name for this condition and there was a way to fix it, and that I was not alone. With the few other lists I belong to, extremely quiet lists, that is, this is the one of which I always felt at home. With the friends I have made here, although has long since completed helmet treatment and plagio is a memory to me as well, it is a hard thought for me to leave. I just wanted to say thank you. I know we didn't really get to know each other all that well, but thank you for all of the wonderful info and tips you provided.

I am glad you will be sticking around. I can understand how you would feel emotional, but how great it must feel to have plagio become a distant memory!

Thank you, Kendra! Hugs!

Kendra,

Although my son Adam has "graduated" many months ago, I still read the mail and try to post when I can. I read you e-mail and just wanted to say thank you for providing parents with such a wonderful group. When Adam was 2 months old I did an internet search for "flathead" and found this group. I had never even heard of plagio. The support I found here was wonderful, especially when everryone else in my life thought I was a crazy first time mom. The decision to put Adam in a helmet was one of the hardest decisions I have ever made, but hearing other's stories about day-to-day life with the helmet was invaluable!!! Who else could I turn to for advice when Adam's head started to smell like FEET!!! And who else could appreciate the stories of other peoples reaction to Adam in his helmet (the funny and the sad). Again, thank you so much for all of the work you put in to the board. Without this group I don't believe that we would have known about helmets and Adam would not have the rounder head today. Best of luck to you and to Debbie as well.

Kendra,

First and foremost... Thank you, thank you, thank you for all that you have

done for the Plagio Support Group! You stepped in at a critical time and

made this list the highly informative, friendly and successful service that

it is.

I knew that this day would come, but I also knew that you would be certain

to prepare. I think we could all see that as we look at the list of

excellent moderators!

Again, my thanks for you efforts and my best regards to you in the future!

the changing times....

Hi all!

Many of you don't know me, my name is Kendra.

I've been a member of the "plagio police force" for almost 3 years. My daughter Hanna was diagnosed with plagio at her 2 month well check, and wore a DOC Band from 6 to 11 months of age. I joined this group shortly after it was created by a sweet lady named . After a few months, could no longer keep in touch with the group, so I basically adopted it. Well, a good 2 1/2 years have passed now. Hanna is turning 3 at the end of the month, I have a new little guy (Max, born in Aug) taking up a huge chunk of my time, and I've taken on some part time work. The end result is that I no longer have the time I used to dedicate to this email list. Plagio is becoming a distant memory in my world (Max's head is beautifully round! :o).

I hope that over the years I have helped you all in some little way by giving my support, trying to provide you with access to any information I (and the group members) have dug up on line, and by creating "easy to relate to" information pages at www.plagiocephaly.org/support . I feel privileged that I have found so many special people here. People who are genuine, loving and caring - not only to their children, but to a huge group of "strangers" reaching out for answers. This group would not have become what it is without all of you. I'd like to give huge special thanks to the moderators, Debbie, Marci, Beck, Niki, & . Without you ladies, I would not have been able to keep it together here! You have been a God send to me, and I'm so lucky to have crossed paths with you! Hugs!

And so, the reason for this post (if you haven't guessed already!)...

The time has come for me to step down as owner of this group. Plagio will always be close to my heart, and I intend to remain available if anyone should ever need anything from me. But like I said before, I no longer have the time to dedicate to the group that I used to.

I have discussed my leaving with the moderators, and through their opinions, and mine, I have decided who will take over - Debbie.

I know you will all agree that she plays a huge part in this group. She has a passion for plagio! She has been a member for a very long time, and has answered pretty much every post on this board. She has shared both positive and negative personal experiences in her daughter's journey to roundness, yet has remained supportive to all available treatments. I trust that she, along with the moderators, will provide to you the same atmosphere within the group that has been encouraged since the start.

Well, I guess that's it. This has been a big decision for me, and I've even been a bit emotional today (seems silly, I know!), but I have always wanted what was best for this group, and giving you a group owner who stays in touch with you is about the best I can do! :o)

Thank you all for being such a wonderful group of people!

Kendra,

So sorry to see you leave the helm, I owe you and this Board so much for

helping me through those days when plagio was still being discussed for my

son, let alone dx (still waiting for the official dx ;)- that I will never

forget you! You have been a wonderful source of information, and a

positively nice person as long as I have had the pleasure of being here. I

know your still going to check in occassionally, so I won't be too mushy,

just wanted to let all the new members out there know just how special you

are and have been to countless parents for the past 2 years!
