No, I have seen the patterns and I think they are cute other moms have gone with solid backgrounds so that they can add decorations for the seasons and since you have many holidays around the corner it could be fun. Keeping it white- hhmm how good of an eater is he?? The only problem I had werecarrots and spaghetti but if you wiped it quick it came right off and scrubbing it with alcohol helped as well. Decorating it helped me like it better I know that is goofy but it did. I think you have to do what you have time to do but keeping it clean or changing the stickers out regularly was easy here is a link on decorating tips for you to take a look at.
