Is it a definite that she has either of them..or is it still a possibility that she doesn't have either??? I am praying really hard for her!!! Do you believe I have to wait b/c the lab that is in network doesn't do that!!! I was and still am so mad!!! Either she has CMT (which is pretty bad) or CP. I never thought I'd want my daughter to have CP but God, I'm praying that she does.
Guest guest
, I saw that post on the CT board the other night. I have such mixed emotions when I see these things. I am so happy that others don't have to go through what we have been doing for over 7 months now, but I always wonder why it couldn't be so easy for us. We are actually done with appealing to Cigna - we have a "final denial" from them. So all we have left is an appeal to the employee benefits committee at my husbands employer, and if that doesn't work, we go to the attorney. We are working on our letter to the EBC, but we are so swamped at home right now that's it's taking us a while. Everytime I see that Cigna has paid for a band I make another note, and each one is like a vote in our favor. One day this perseverance will pay off. Gail, Sam and Sara's mom, DOC grads Cigna paid for a DOCband... Hi,I thought that everyone that has cigna would be interested in reading this.. Gail, Hopefully this will be able to help you. This is posted on the CT discussion forum:Second Band Posted by: Caroline 10/04/2002 Jake got casted for his second band today.I think he cried less this time!We didn't have any hassles with Cigna this time..they refused to pay for the first one so we went ahead while we appealed ,we actually won three days after they received our appeals package!Maybe they figured we wouldn't go away quietly. Good luck to everyone out there fighting their insurance companies. If anyone goes to the Phoenix Cranial Tech I left our appeal letter on file so if anyone needs a good letter..ask away. Jake has been in this first band 4 months and he'll get his new one in two weeks..not sure how muuch longer we have to go but I think we have had about 60 % correction so far. Good luck to those just starting out and congratulations to any graduates..we hope to be one early next year. Guest guest
Gail, You can add it to your list b/c it was just posted today! I'm sorry it's not of more help to you. I really hope you kick their asses!! They really suck. I am soooo sick of insurance companies!!! It happens all the time, not just with bands. They've tried to deny my 3.5 yo doctors she NEEDS to see. Today I found out that she may have a syndrome called Charcot Marie Tooth. She has to have genetic testing done on her DNA through a blood test. Do you believe I have to wait b/c the lab that is in network doesn't do that!!! I was and still am so mad!!! Either she has CMT (which is pretty bad) or CP. I never thought I'd want my daughter to have CP but God, I'm praying that she does. So now I have to wait until they tell me I can take her for this blood work. It takes 3-4 weeks just to get the results! I hate insurance companies!!!!!!!!!! > , > I saw that post on the CT board the other night. I have such mixed emotions when I see these things.
