Guest guest
Thanks for the info again!!! I want to be prepared for what is going to happen. They didn't say anything about an IV so we will see. I can't believe they expect you to let them go 4 hours before the procedure without drinking anything. I told dh we will have to wake her up around 5 to give her a bottle so she has something in her tummy. She usually sleeps from 11 p.m. until 9:30 am. so I don't think this will be a problem for her with getting the bottle so early. She usually doesn't cry in the morning to eat either but will take food when offered. I think she will do okay. I will keep you posted on what happens. Was very groggy the rest of the day? Taryn and Indiana Re: 's neurosurgeon appt. today and questions for everyone!!!! ... Taryn,The IV was put in so that in case of any emergency where they would need a line, they are already hooked up- at least this is what I was told. I don't know what the drink tasted like, they just said most kids don't like it- and you could tell he didn't care for it! It was given to him with a oral dropper both times as I recall. I had a little problem with the nurse the second time, they wanted me to come in at 12:00- his MRI was not until 1:00- so when she told me no liquids after 8 am- I told her if his MRI is not until 1- than I can bump that to 9. For some reason, she was not comprehending this. I told her that I was waiting till that last minute for fluids, because they did that when he was 2 months old, not fun to have an overly hungry baby. She argued with my logic, and I told her, if the MRI will not happen until 1- then I have up to 9 am for liquids. She was very rude over the phone and I was so ready to give her a piece of my mind when I got there, but she was so overly nice that I almost threw up! So, if paperwork is an hour (give or take), than make sure your feeding time is scheduled appropriately for 's little belly.
