Guest guest
I haven't checked out the varnish yet..I am going to see how she does with just the stickers on. I plan on changing them often too so hopefully won't have to do too much. I bought some really cool stickers tonight...Halloween, Christmas, Valentine's, hearts and flowers, butterflies, moons and suns, you are my sunshine stickers, letter stickers, and the best ones of all that say cute as a button, precious, what a cutie, official cute kid, that's one cute kid, and simply adorable...I thought that would be very appropriate!!! I will probably be working on her Halloween helmet after it comes in on Tues. and will be sure to post pics when it's finished. Taryn Indiana Re: Decorating tips to Taryn Taryn-The varnish doesn't smell at all since it is waterbased - and only takes like 10 minutes to dry. You canfind it in the section where the folk art acryliccraft paints and such are.I also have butterflies that I will be using shortly! Got to love those. Right now she has these cute starsthat are like muted in color and have cute designs -kind of like patchwork. I want to do lady bugs toosince I always call Viv "ladybug". I will probably bust out a halloween helmet around the15th or so - maybe have that for two weeks. I lovehalloween!
Guest guest
Thanks for the tips. We actually just got back from 's now and so far so good. I put my first coat of acrylic paint on it and looks like we'll be adding a few more. (It barely coated it at all.) Anyway, hopefully it'll turn out ok. Although I'm not very crafty, I usually give it a good try. Keep your fingers crossed. Otherwise, it'll be a looooooonnnnnng 3 months in the band! Guest guest
try using a hair dryer between coats, that way you minimize time out of helmet. Jen
