Guest guest
Hi Neem, Just wanted to wish you well at the first pt session! On our first session, it was mostly an evaluation, we answered a lot of questions about development, what he was doing and what he wasn't, and talked about what our goals were, to resolve the tort! Your pt may go straight into working with Siddharthe, either with distraction to see how far he can rotate on his own, or by feeling his tight muscle and assessing how mild/moderate/severe the tort is. We only had 1/2 hour sessions 2x a week, but it was a much needed break for us, and we learned a lot of techniques that helped us along the way. Have an open mind at first, but if you feel in anyway that you are not happy with the pt's approach, check with the director for someone else. I will say that your pt should be very hands on, should be willing and eager to show you exercises to do at home, and want you watching as the exercises are done. It may not be easy, Siddharthe may cry just for the simple fact that he doesn't want hands on his head, manipulating his movement, but keep perspective that this needs to happen, and soon you'll be on your way to resolving torticollis. Good luck to you and please keep us posted! ' Mom
