Guest guest
Hey Taryn we used stickers and I generally decorated it while it was off-getting to sit still for anything was impossible. I did not seal them with anything nor did I sand the helmet because I changed them almost every week. The clear backed stickers are the best the stick well and the peel on and off in a jiffy without having to do anything else to remove the glue the other ones sometimes I had to use goo be gone to get the residual off. I think it depends on what you want to do for the length of time. Bigger stickers don't always lay flat because of the roundness of the helmet and I found that to be quite annoying but I still all in all stickers were easy painless and cute. best of luck! beck

Guest guest
Thanks, Beck. I am planning on decorating for the holidays (so excited about Halloween decorating soon) and will change it often. I was planning on going to Hobby Lobby (a local craft place) today or tomorrow to see what they have. They have all kinds of scrapbooking stickers and whatnot so I am sure I can find some really cute stuff. The stickers didn't peel off or get torn after awhile? That's amazing. Guest guest
Taryn.. here's what we did (we are helmet painting failures).. We just put the stickers on and covered them with two layers of a water based polyurethane..this whole process takes about 90 minutes or so. We did it on a bath night, then put Zack in his jumper then his saucer. That took him about 90 minutes to get tired..which is when the 2nd coat had dried. Even one coat holds up pretty well. We got the Hallowe'en stickers at 's Crafts (they had TONS!)..and we got some Thanksgiving stickers for next month. The best thing they had was the letter stickers that looked like painted letters -> much easier putting those on than actually painting the helmet. Monthly helmet updates have been enough for us. I got the NFL stickers at www.stickergiant.com they had lots of wild ones. Ken Zack and Zoey's dad
Guest guest
You know Beck, we can always rely on you for great links!!! I appreciate it so much. I will check out the links when I get a chance later today and plan on going to Hobby Lobby today with my mom to pick things out. She's so artistic and can be a big help in designing it so to speak!!! I will send pictures as soon as I get something accomplished.
