thickening alcohol-based perfumes

Has anyone experimented with thickening alcohol-based perfumes? I put

an alcohol-based cologne in a roll-on applicator for a friend of mine

(the roll-ons actually work surprisingly well... and I have lots of

them!). She asked if there was any way to thicken it so it doesn't

run down her arm when she puts it on. I suggested a lighter touch

with the applicator... and told her I would look into it.

It's a thought that never occurred to me. Any suggestions?

p.s. this blend will not work in oil... so that option is out!
