Guest guest
Hiya... It has got quite a few name. If you read French you could try this rather informative link http://www.aroma-zone.com/aroma/ficheledon.asp if not, I shall try to find you some doc in English. We also like to call it Bois de Savane, Savana wood or round about. I principally use it for liver complaint but stress as well when all else fail and I am quite interested in its properties for thyroid. Take care, Obside

Guest guest
Hiya... Oh, cool... I don't use Aroma-Zone myself so far but I like what they have to say about oils specifically and in general for whom may be interested in learning. Most usually, the firm that I use locally is Pranarôm and as I buy in Luxembourg, it is bound to come straight from Belgium. As for other firms, I do not find all I need/want so I make do with others as well. At the moment, it is a bit like the cross and the banner to find Boswellia Rivae locally, don't know why, I think I shall have to go net-wise. If I cannot find locally, I usually reach back to Provence where I spent a good deal of my childhood. I originally cut my teeth (on my own that is) on Nelly Grosjean's and Shirley Price's knowledge all at the begining but I truly learned about aromatherapy at the knees of Great-Grand-Ma Philomene and Grand- Ma Odette, that and Tarot cards, that is (I still have Philomene's Marseille deck in an old facecloth but it was a gift, I don't use it, just rever it). Funny enough, it seems to have skipped a generation as Mama was never interested in it, she trusted eyes closed with modern medecine and anti-biotics. Maybe it was sheer rebellion from early days, I don't know, she never told and it is too late now. Philomene had 11 kids, of whom 10 living and that was 9 girls and 1 boy. Odette was eldest and Mama was older by a few months than her youngest Aunt. Odette found Philomene in bed with Arthur (not her late dad and I mean they were living " in the sin " all right ?!?...) so she forced her Mum to marry Arthur in second noces at past 75 years of age, yes, yes, yes... That's whom my Grand-Ma was for you, and ok, my Great-Grand-Ma as well... Essentially matriarcal, you try living in a family with 7 Great-Aunts, Ah!!... Even at ripe old age, those Girls have the fanciest familial intelligence network and would you believe it, but the PTT even let them have the telephone ! You think you go hush-hush about something that you don't want known ?? Well, forget about it, the " Girls " know all about it in a trice and with all the sordid details, mind you... Nowadays, they have started dying off but still and all, I love them all to bits even if I live in Lorraine with absolutly no family around and 80% of the rest kept to Haute-Savoie, thank God... I have tried to get Queen Cananga the beouteous feline interested in oils for her skin/lungs and I mean this charming Lady was born in March 1996 but even with all the available counsel I got my hand on to from Nelly Grosjean whom seems to manage very well with her own pets, mine still thinks that it all stinks to high heavens and she won't hear about it. It is a definite setback but she really does not like her vet either so I want to believe that not all hope is lost... I shall try to find and have a look at the firm that you have mentioned. Take good care, Obside myspace.com/oobside
