Guest guest
Much better today, isn't it, Kathy? I took the garbage out this morning without having to come in a take a shower! Guest guest
LOUISE OZ - I HATE THE HUMIDITY! I ACTUALLY FELT LIKE I WAS A LITTLE BETTER (ONLY BEEN 3 WKS.) UNTIL THE HUMIDITY SET IN. WE NEVER GET HUMIDITY IN MAY BUT IT'S BEEN BRUTAL. A LITTLE NICER TODAY BUT, IT'S COMING BACK. ALL I WANT TO DO IS SLEEP. NEED TO LIVE IN ALASKA. KIM R. Guest guest
I live in South Louisiana (US). I'm acclimated to the humidity but it can make the hot days absolutely brutal. Aren't many places where the humidity can be 100% and it's NOT RAINING!!!
Guest guest
CATHY - I GUESS THAT'S WHY THEY SAY THERE IS ALWAYS SOMEONE WORSE OFF THAN YOU. I FEEL FOR YOU. PENNSYLVANIA HAS BEEN PRETTY BRUTAL ALREADY AND IT'S ONLY MAY! KIM R
Guest guest
Hi Kath, I don't think you're imagining it - a lot of us find that our RA acts up with different weather conditions. It's not necessarily so much hot vs. cold as it is humidity or changes in the weather. Our summers here in Portland tend to be sunny and pleasant without the high humidity of the east coast and midwest (I grew up with that and always hated it). I notice and feel changes in the weather - it must be the change in the barometric pressure that does it for me. I also notice that airplane travel has the same impact, which makes sense because the cabin pressure is not the same as we're used to at ground level. Beth > Hi, > > I am in the early stages of RA and have noticed that when we have our air conditioning off my hands seem to get worse. Am I imagining this or does this really have something to do with it? > > Thanks, > > Kath
Guest guest
The humidity can affect RA. Listen to everyone, read everything, believe nothing unless you can prove it in your own research. jacymail@...IM: jacygal - ICQ: 96949087www.geocities.com/mtn_rose Signature powered by Plaxo Want a signature like this? -----Original Message-----From: Kathy A [mailto:joyfulkate60@...]Sent: Thursday, June 17, 2004 18:02Rheumatoid ArthritisSubject: humidity Hi, I am in the early stages of RA and have noticed that when we have our air conditioning off my hands seem to get worse. Guest guest
I can vouch for that! Here in Colorado we normally have very low humidity. The past couple days have been very humid, rainy, cold and even tornados. So the barometer has been going crazy and so is my RA. I can feel the pressure changes in my hands and knees for sure. Guest guest
Hi I meant to say in my previous message but yes, humidity knocks me for six, I can do dry heat or cold wet, but wet heat and I turn into a cross between a weeble and Herman Munster on two feet! My legs just feel like two lead weights and I roll along like a drunken sailor. It's very frustrating especially on holiday when I want to be out and about doing things.
