Where I live now, 2 women, 2 dogs, and 2 cats, have died of cancer within the

last 8 years or so, and 2 women and 1 dog currently have cancer. This is all

within 5 neighboring houses around a quiet intersection and 1 house that's 1

house away. Does anyone know whether this constitutes a cancer cluster, and

how a cluster is determined to be one? I'm wondering how safe this neighborhood

is...and whether you'd find this anywhere in the country where there were older

people and pets...Certainly the women all used heavy laundry & other household

chemicals. One dyes her hair--I don't know about the other three. One family

owns a small heating oil business, so their oil truck is often here, and two of

the neighbors use large amounts of pesticides on their lawns as well,

endangering pets and others of us who live next door.

Any advice or thoughts on any level would be really welcome. Any specific

questions I might ask to determine this?
